Gayle MacAllister’s FACES OF THE WAVES project captures both local and international surfers who choose Huntington Beach as their surf playground in competition and for the pure thrill of the sport. They love their community and treat each other like family. The elders actively support the grommets with enthusiasm and conviction.

FACES OF THE WAVES , a permanent exhibit at Pacific City, celebrates Huntington Beach’s vibrant surf culture and its potential role as a Surf Village for the 2028 Olympics. Future plans include a coffee table book.
